Collar was an 8-hour durational performance that dealt with language as a tool that separates and connects. Wearing a large Elizabethan-style collar made from the pages of the Oxford English Dictionary, I cut the remaining pages into paper snowflakes. These were hung in a fragile wall across the front of the gallery space, simultaneously inviting visitors in and holding them at bay.

Gesture, beeswax, honey, beggar's bowl, jute and stone. Sculpture made as part of the larger installation. 2011.
